Re: What do your parents think?
Storms-Eye, you have a great attitude. Besides being able to keep your cool, your reaction also shows that you know that your religion is more than just the tools and trappings.
Saeoko, you got it just right. Sorry I'm responding so late. My Book of Shadows (BoS) has many of the same things; spells, rituals, divination results, magickal exercises, meditations, poetry, dream journaling, and so on...
Finally, guys, I cannot recommend this book enough. It's called When Someone You Love Is Wiccan, by Carl McColman. If you think your parents are cool enough to give it a shot, you may want to invest in it someday. It reads in a very easy FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) format. I've given away enough copies over the years to sink a small barge.

Oh wow! Funny thing about that book...When I told my dad, we were near a bookstore...and I went in there and got it for him...He wasn't completely receptive..and didn't really want to read it...but I think it answered a lot of questions he didn't really want to ask me!Artemis_NYC wrote:

Re: What do your parents think?
So, for all of my sage, older-brother style of wisdom (I'm modest too), apparently I can be a bit slow at times. I'll explain what I mean with a question:
You two know each other?
lol, like I said, it takes a while for me to cotton on to certain things. I miss really obvious references like this, and I'm always the last to know. So, are you friends, family, school chums, or what?

RainWillow lives like 45 minutes away from me. We met at a Yule ritual a mutual friend set-up just this past Yule. She's the one that convinved me to join the forums LoL and I just noticed the pic you posted in the Village Square, RainWillow!!! I didnt think you'd actually post it! I'm still laughing and I was there when it was taken... obviously... LoL

You're quite the handsome devil, but I almost mistook you for a hip Elton John... dig the goatee. And no matter how much she argues, RainWillow is simply stylin'! Rock on...

I agree with Althaea, on top of that try having him relax and meditate before bed. If it helps have him keep a journal near by and record the instances as best as he can. But, definitely go through a...
