Mid-life crisis
Have any of you men been through your mid-life crisis yet? How did you get throgh it without your wife hitting you over the head with a cast-iron frying pan? [lol]
Any advice on how to get through it quickly would be welcomed.

Re: Mid-life crisis
[lol]Linn, I'm not going through it, my husband is! I won't give too many details, but lately he's been very (very) moody about everything and acting like the biggest child in the house. He is not listening to the things I say and what he does listen too he twists around to fit what he wants to hear - and this isn't like him.
I'm not saying he or I are perfect. But if I ask you what is the problem don't snap back with "nothing" or "forget it" and hold it in for 3 days until it explodes! If I have something to say, I say it and get it out to talk about and find a solution. This is just really driving me crazy.

Isn't this normal male behaviour? [confused]prissywitchnj wrote:

I had Neighbors that went through that!
Then, they discovered P r o z a c !
You would not believe the difference!
It will mellow his grumpy a** right out!
You could try a product called "SAM-e" (non prescription) which is really good for your Joints (not the ones you Roll) and has been found to be a "Mood Elevator" . [wink]

[lol]Cate, most of my friends said that too! Or it's male PMS, which he's had before. It's just been dragging this time, and he'll be turning almot 40 in just a few weeks, and his mom said this is when his dad went through his mid-life crisis, that's why I think it's it.

Thanks LINN That sounds like something Vic and I could both benefit from. I certainly will check into it.

Re: Mid-life crisis
I think I am going thru mine with work over the past year. I had 3 jobs last year, same line of work and luckily always a step up, but worked each job for about 4 months... and I am already looking for my next job.

Re: Mid-life crisis
I had my mid-life crisis really early. I used to be suicidal. My life was hellish until the first month of '06. I'm not going into any more details though. I get enough of the question of why it happened from people I tell that to in my town.

I agree with Althaea, on top of that try having him relax and meditate before bed. If it helps have him keep a journal near by and record the instances as best as he can. But, definitely go through a...
