Re: Are there any other African-american Wiccans h
Yeah, I am a mutt myself. I am of Irish, English, Scottish, and Welch (Wales) descent. Supposedly, on my dad's side, we have a smattering of Cherokee heritage as well. LOL!

The grove is on a temporary hiatus as of a few weeks ago. The Senior Druid and others are suffering some financial difficulties. I don't know how long the hiatus will be but you are more than welcome to check them out. I had plans to attend a Devotional Rite for Litha but the person hosting the Rite had her air conditioner go out on her and had to cancel. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HoustonCelticDruidism/
If you are interested in meeting with them and can't let me know. I have been looking for others of a like mind in my area to hold rites with.

BBG, I am also from the Houston area and have been interested in finding a grove. Being solitary, I feel I am perhaps missing out on something. In short, I'm interested.

If you guys are really interested in possibly starting a grove or just holding a Rite let me know. I live in Huntsville, TX but am more than willing to travel to Houston or we can meet at my place. Again if you guys are seriously interested just send me a message. It would be wonderful to meet with others who are interested in Druidry or even Eclectic Paganism.

So far Diana has replied. She's not too far from Conroe. Hopefully we will get some others to reply and be able to start getting things started. For those of you interested in studying Druidry, I would suggest starting off with "The Solitary Druid" by Robert Ellison. Our online coven (Maple Oak) will be finishing the last chapter in two weeks. We have learned a great deal, but look forward to learning more.
