Fairy Blessing for Yule Celebrations

At this time of year the fairies are usually already starting their wintry slumber. To bless your house for the holiday of Yule about a week before you can invite them to bless your home for the holiday.

What you will need:

4 candles
4 crystals
Dried Ginger
Dried sunflower or other bright colored petals

Put one candle at each of the four directions within your home along with one crystal. The crystals can represent the same color scheme as the candles or you can use personal power stones assigned to the compass points you use for magic.

Example:
North- white candle- quartz
South- red candle- obsidian
West- blue candle- turquoise
East- yellow candle- sulphur

Make an offering to the fairies to bless each quadrant of your home by going to each compass point and invoking them with a chant or song. (Fairies especially like song.) Light the candle, allow a few petals of sunflower to rain down and then sprinkle some ginger. With your intent ask them to bless your home and all who enter for the holiday season, to keep all safe from disease or disaster, and to add good vibrations to all get togethers.

Allow the candles to burn (checking frequently) until they are no more. You can then clean up the next day and place petals onto your altar cloth to help decorate for Yule.

Careful Jane, I did this last year and had to eventually expel the buggers from the house as they evidentally got bored with just hanging out and started terrorizing my dogs. They sort of took over my kitchen to the point that one dog would not come into the room and the others would only pass through to go outside. And I still haven't recovered all the stuff they took!!

Like Uaine I have learned by experience to give them their space and keep them out of mine. I give them plenty of sweet things and have found they seem to enjoy stevia as much as sugar and honey. There is always a lot of happy actvity from them when I put the stevia plants out in the spring. I now share some of the dried leaves with them in the winter.

I guess I'm just lucky they have never given me any troubles. I have a large fairy mound outside for them and and oak right next to it and they seem to like to stay around that area where I have let the gardens surrounding go wild.

Perhaps I should make it clear that your intent should be for fairy blessings, not otherwise.

My dog plays with the fairies in my yard. He is a big stupid husky who is afraid of everything and he doesn't seem to mind the fairies. He will not go into my altar room alone though. He is terrified of it and any kind of masks. If we go up there as soon as I turn off the light he runs down the stairs LOL.
