Naturally Gifted?
just a question is it possible to be naturally gift in an element?
I find i have the odd ability to control the wind to either blow harder, or go easier.
my elements are fire and wind if that helps

Re: Naturally Gifted?
I don't see why you couldn't be. Many people feel connected to various animals, or have psychic abilities without trying andor training. It would make perfect sense that some are connected to various elements andor weather phenomenon. I, myself, would consider it a blessing; I hope you enjoy it.

Re: Naturally Gifted?
Naturally Gifted is in all of us ~ you use your gifts and abilities all the time in everyday life ~ Whether you are aware of these gifts and abilities is the question ~ Learning about your abilities and how to develope them will surely empower you in how *well* you use them ~

I agree with what's been said all ready. Â*People are not like cookies from a cookie cutter - we are all different, with different gifts and abilities.knives_sama wrote:

I don't have an ability to control the wind but I've noticed when I go outside to work magic, more often than not, there won't be a breeze until I start to ground. Â*When I send down the energy, a light breeze will come straight out of the south. Â*I haven't figured out what it means, if anything, other than "hello!"

I believe that we are all connected to the elements, some of them you excel especially in and some you dont. I know my ex used to say I controlled the weather in my town because everytime I cried it would rain. haha Dont think Im that powerful but it was fun to think [grin]

Re: Naturally Gifted?
There is a lot of lore about witches being connected to weather phenomena. In my practice instead of calling the 4 watchtowers I call the 4 Windsisters and so I must wait to do magic until the 4 Winds are present. But one of the tests we were told to do to really see how good are connection was was to try and go out on a blustery mountain top and QUIET the wind. Now I thought this would be easy but I tried and tried and couldn't do it. My mentor told me that in order to quiet the wind you have to quiet the chaos inside your soul, and that is the trick of it, because as everyone knows that is not easy!
I said to her, "what do I have to do after that, roll back the waves?"
She said, "No that's the third thing you have to do."
hahahahahaha,
JB

Re: Naturally Gifted?
I'm trying more to control the wind,so far i can have it circle around me but really that's alli got, changing it's temperture would be helpful, but i really don't like defying nature just for my own selfish reasons
i usually ask permission to use the wind.

Re: Naturally Gifted?
All the signs in the zodiac correspond to different elements. So everyone is born with one in there favor and to some degree this affects our relaionships with others(in my opinion
) for example As a sagg.( fire) I get on great with Libra's, Gemini's and Airie's (all air signs)but i fell that the water signs some times rain on my parade.opps getting off topic lol. But i do feel more inclined to fire and work with it regularly. manipulating the size of a flame is a fun exercise i like. Sorry for the ramble hope this helped
