I'm wanting to create a small altar on my desk at work and would love to dedicate it to a Diety that would be supportive or the towing and auto repair industry. At the moment the only Diety that I can think of is Hephaistos Ambidexter, mostly because I am devoted to Hephaistos.

I know Saint Michael is the Patron Saint of emergency service providers but I really don't want to use a Saint.

Any suggestions?

A few suggestions:

Brigid: Â*the traditional patroness of healing, poetry and smithcraft. Â*The role of the smith in any tribe was seen as a sacred trust and was associated with magickal powers since it involved mastering the primal element of Fire, moulding the metal (from Earth) through skill, knowledge and strength.

Kai: Wales. A fire and smithing God.

GUA: (Ga tribe of West Africa) God of thunder, blacksmiths and farmers. Gua's temples are often found at blacksmith's forges.

WELAND Also VOLUNDR; WIELAND; WAYLAND: God of smiths and metal workers. Son of the giant Wade. Weland has much in common with smith gods such as Govannon and Hephaistos.

AGAYU: Â*(Santeria) The volcano. Agayu grants protection from violence and chaos. His colors are brown, red and green. Identified with St. Christopher.

You might also explore gods/goddesses who are protector deities. Â*I know that the times that I've had to call a tow truck or have my car repaired, I've seen the people who provide those services (promptly and fairly) as my protectors.

I didn't think of Weland Smith before even though I know his story but he sounds ideal. He's a smith who made armor to protect Beowulf. Machanical skill combined with a protector Diety. Thanks!
