I love Haiku poetry. Ever since I was a kid in grade school I would fiddle with writing a verse here-and-there. Now, that I have been studying the path of a Bard it has rekindled my fascination of poetry. Though I may not be a Frost, Taliesin, or Dickinson I still love writing and reading poetry.
So, a challenge I purpose, to all here at Cauldron Living to write a simple haiku about anything. Keep in mind these three things.
1. Form: We will us the simple syllable form with no restrictions on grammar. (In other words no worries about adjectives, nouns, verbs, etc.) The three-line form will be 5 syllable, 7 syllable, and 5 syllable.
2. Content: Though you can write this haiku on any subject, I would urge you to write when Imbas strikes. Write in that sudden rushing moment where all seems simple yet amazing. This is how most Japanese poets wrote their haiku.
3. No thought: Keeping in close quarters with the Japanese poets, you should not spend a great deal of time editing your haiku. Chances are you got it correct the first time.

Only a red flash
