My life seems to fade away ~
Where exactly - I cannot say.
It leaves me……
Empty, cold, and alone -
A feeling that I have once known.

My life has gone a stray -
If I linger too long
I may fade away……..
Away from myself,
Away from who I am
Away from what I have become.

My life has taken a darker note -
Sunshine seems to no longer have a vote.
I live inside myself,
Away from others -
Always remote.

What has happened to me?
Why do I not wish to be happy?
Sadly, I know not -
For sorrow is all that
I have wrought.

Darkness fills me all around…………..
In the darkness I rebound.
I live in a place
That, unfortunately, no one can be -
I live in a place
That I cannot break free.

My life has turned into
Nothing more than a joke ~
My life has become
My personal hoax.

I thought that I was
‘Meant to do something, be something’
But I finally realize ~
My life just doesn’t have
Any meaning any more…………
