Thread: Ugg my teenager is driving me insane!

Has there been any update lately? I see the last post was on 10/14, and was curious.

I have a step son who is 17, and his mother and I have experienced quite a bit with him the last two years, including an attempted suicide. I feel for you and am interested in how things are going, or not going. Please let us know.

Hugs and a tissue to you. You did the right thing. It's tuff Love. When she is ready to come home prepare a contract, you, hubby, her, social worker etc. of the doos and dont's of sucsuffly getting along in the house: no shouting, no cursing, no physical threats, calm discussion only, if that cannot be done than each party has the right to a 30 min time out in which the issue is NOT brought to surface, violatioons fit the infraction, 60 min late for curfue, 60 minutes off the curfue for a week to rebuild trust, curfue is set when you get off the buss until you prove yourself, change people, places and things. The old crowd is out. Get the cell phone and start calling and deleting. Asking questions --- You might need a little rehab. Random drug tests. Get in there, clean that room out look in the vents, drawers, behind the drawers, under the beds, anxiety and personality change like that just doesn't happen. Grant it COUNSELING is a must. It would be wonderful if you could all go to an introduction.

It's helped me sort through so much of my life, and made my teen years so smooth in comparison to my friends.
