Re: Soccer mom with Pagan bumpersticker??
All the time! But it really ices me when people call me "Debbie", I am NOT a Debbie. My family and close friends call me Deda (prounced Dee Dah - like "dah"ling), everyone else, Deb.Adiana wrote:
Do you ever have people who want to spell your name Debra?
Do you use Deborah? Or do you shorten it?

Re: Soccer mom with Pagan bumpersticker??
Deda,
Yes, I get called Debbie, too and it irritates the crap out of me! I am NOT a Debbie, either. I have always been called either Deborah or Deb by my family and friends and that is what I prefer. I go by either one as long as it's NOT Debbie! LOL!

I was grining and a little surprised, got home and found out my 7 year old grandson told him people where that star for protection. My son says they do Listen more than we thought.

For the wiccans out there I saw what I thought was rather clever, a play on shakespear, "something wiccan this way comes." of course Im a dork and would find that clever. :-)
I make wood hand carved magnets, one of which states that exact line...I loved it...
I know this post is kind of old, but it peaked my interest, and of course I have to put my two cents in.
We lived in the bible belt, my daughter decided to bring the family out in the open when she was in the 5th grade. Someone ticked her off talking about witchcraft negatively and she spouted off...anyway
It followed not only her but my son whom is 6 years younger than my daughter. When he started kindergarten the following year, he was already labelled. It made for a very rough time for him in school.
We ended up moving. I got calls from the school stating my daughter was into Satanic Rituals and needed counselling, my son his problems increased in school and he was such a sweet darling boy and this has turned him so negative I am fighting to keep him in school now, he hates it in general. He has told everyone down here he is Athiest...which I really don't like! He told me it was just easier that way.
I never had the pagan/witchcraft bumper stickers, (even though they are great!) I do have a Darwin Fish on my car. We had enough notoriety in our neighborhood, but most was rumor and speculation. I didn't want to advertise.
What is funny though the parents in my sons Tae Kwon Do class really increased my sales and reading income. Isn't that strange. They would come to me for readings, but they treated us differently and down right bad sometimes in other circumstances?

I saw a one once that said "Blessed Bee" with a little bumble bee, if anyone could tell where to buy that I would really appreciate it! (Deborah, my given name means Bee - Deda is how you pronounce it when you are 3)
I haven't seen Blessed Bee, but as my name is also Deborah that would be cool. There sure are a lot of us Deborah's here....

Re: Soccer mom with Pagan bumpersticker??
in response too:
<gasp!> There is a fish with a witch hat!!!! I want one!
Oh man.... I was thinking the EXACT same thing!!!!
Also, My fiance and I got the biggest kick out of Lucy-fur hahaha, I was laughing so hard I could hardly tell him what I was laughing about. My mom has a bald cat named Pooh bare which I also thought was pretty clever.
As for my.... My favorite bumper sticker is "Smile your government is watching" and "Sure you can trust the government... just ask an indian" hehehe
As far as wiccan ones.... I want that darwin fish with the hat.... I love "Goddess Bless", triple moons, and of course all of the humorous sayings.
I wear a triquetra daily.... It's also a catholic symbol I guess so people always think I am catholic which bothers me.... The catholics christianised the triquetra unfortunately
