this is a difficult post -- been kinda puttin it off...

I've been perusing many threads
and of course i keep running into different discussions of the same old thing
- another variety of the "US vs THEM" war - in this case "Pagans vs Christians"
Pantheists vs Monotheists?

is anyone up for ...
GODS vs ATHEISTS?
CREATIONISTS vs EVOLUTIONISTS?
NATURE vs the MACHINE?
WITCHES vs PRIESTS?
ANGELS vs the DEVIL?
the FORCE vs the EVIL EMPIRE?
GOD vs the CORPORATION?
the GREAT SPIRIT vs the INVADERS?
MIND vs MINDLESSNESS?

-- because i'm kinda working on something really urgent and important here
-- and i NEED the help of intelligent, well-read, wise, spiritual people of all sorts
and I don't have time to explain what (for me) is self-evident regarding
pagans and christians, and gnostics, and rosicrucians, and templars, and hermetics, and cabalists, and messianic jews, and Hindus, and blah blah blah -- you know

everywhere - US vs THEM - i understand much of how we define ourselves
requires an 'ADVERSARY' - our shadow, our mirror - our enemy - the ones that have it all wrong and persecuted us in the past - and the big bad enemy of the whole world for all time! WOW! Pretty hard to give our scapegoats up, isn't it?

GOD is a SPIRIT - the GREATest SPIRIT
GOD is a God
CHRIST is a GOD
- the SON of a GOD becomes a GOD
ALL GOD'S' CHILDREN become GODS
the GODS are Gods
ALL SPIRITS BECOME SPIRIT

... so what i am asking everyone is ...
(especially since you have already 'chafed' under the perceived yoke of the monotheists and your all so tough and patient anyways)
... if you cannot understand that Christianity in its pure form is part of your
belief system already - (as your Celtic ancestors, Druids and esoteric societies - already were realizing and incorporating -- those that were not already preserving it for TODAY...)
...can you at least ... put aside your differences, suffer more compromise - not additional - but
just same old loving "one nation under GOD" kinda stuff - i mean - you already enduring it anyway - and i don't see it about to change - do you?krishna-judge..jpg

when i look into my scrying mirror - i see the world engulfed in war
a great GODLESS army from the 'EAST'- the largest in the history of Civilization - threatens the world
and makes allies with ALL those who deny SPIRIT in the WORLD
it has no morals - it doesn't understand compromise or surrender
and we could really use a (TOTALLY) unified North America (at least) and a unified SPIRITUAL DEFENSE

anyone else? what do you see?
i am asking here - this isn't all about me - nor is it some kind of indocrination attempt
i want to make that clear

that's pretty much what i do...
so.. here is another one - more of a rant at first - forgive me - you have been warned LOL

i figured this was going to be (i want to say 'hostile') tough territory/house
i am not young with young ideals -
and nor do i wish to squash the sense of wonder and openness to experience and imagination of the young,
or young at heart - as the case may be...

i wish i had come here years ago so i could talk about a ritual for Brigit, or Hermes, or a Full Moon
or a love spell to attract my future wife, or how to grow and harvest mandrakes or harvest mistletoe
or make corn dollies or my recipe for a potion to restore hair-loss, or the witchy names i can come up with for my cat (sorry 'familiar')
- or child-friendly tools of the craft...
i wish i had got all this 'Low' Magic stuff out of the way with you all
-before i dumped these 'High Magic' concepts on everyone - it is most unfair - i agree

When i was young - i had a curiosity towards the occult - and it was the 70s - the birth of the New Age in respect
that there was a mass major interest in recovering and reinterpreting occult and esoteric traditions and lore.
My interest and study has never waned - but I learned or chose early NOT TO PRACTICE because of one main reason...
INTENTION and TRUTH
(the realm of Metaphysics, Philosophy and Religion-to-some-degree - are you familiar with them at all?)
there is simply no good reason to do real MAGIC or WITCHCRAFT - and every good reason not to

the celestial spheres will remain true to their paths, the seasons will come and go
the crops will grow, people will be born, breed, die -- without any egotistical rituals or performances by us
( the day that ceases to be true - well, then, might be a good time to consider doing magic)

there is nothing wrong with celebrating the turning of the wheel and festivals and social gatherings
- but please let's not delude ourselves that there is any necessary magic or spells involved

at some point maybe we should ask ourselves - aren't we getting a little old for 'let's pretend?"
(maybe we might ask that about 'playing house' or 'playing doctor' too - but i am already being an assh*le and i digress)
all MAGIC (even DIVINE) interferes with NATURE and/or FREE WILL (to some extent)
- fooling around with any of them - even with the best of intentions - will initiate some nasty karma - so at least be prepared for that

Magic and the GOD(s) never left me - and I have witnessed some spectacular magic caught up in my life's events
-- but i never DID the magic - i was just a catalyst - and since i really had no INTENTIONS or desires in that regard
the GODS loved me and there was very little resistance -- from me or my ego --to the Magic manifesting
- I lived a charmed life (I still do - even more so now)
So now I find myself drafted by the GODS, and Hosts of Heaven -- trained in their lore, acquainted with heaps of esoteric studies - urgently summoned psychically by the Gnostics, the Golden Dawn and other more obscure Hermetic orders from the past and present- dare i say the Illuminati?
-- to become involved in the high magick of 'the Great Work" - of which i studied - but never truly aspired or intentionally practiced.
(I spent as much time as i could in fact - trying to avoid or escape it all through sex, drugs and rock n roll)

I am "involved' - but this isn't MY show -
i see the world spinning into darkness -i'll still be here
the GODS love me - i am in good company, there is no reward or blame attached to any outcomes for me
i always was the kind of person who would help my friends and neighbors - when the situation arose
and leave them to their own affairs otherwise - probably a lot like many of the people who might read this.

-- won't stop the WORLD from BURNING though
we are all ALONE in this together - and i doubt you are pumping your own water, printing your own money
or making your own computer -- excuse me for assuming so much
but there is 'SOLITARY' and then there is the rest of US too

do you have a bank account?
what i am getting at - do you pay taxes? how do you feel about contributing to activities that you would not otherwise support?
do you feel at all responsible for how your tax money is used?

Wyrdic magnetica: I am with you. Overall, I try to be religiously accepting - I mean, how could I not? My two best friends are both Christian (though not the same kind. One's Protestant, and the other is.....uh....not Protestant? I forget which kind), and I live in an area where the only other person I know like me has only, as she called, 'dabbled', and is not really devoted.
But I understand that not everybody is like me. In such a Christian community, it is easy to discriminate against non-Christians. In an area where people all speak English, is it not natural for one to feel English is the best/only language? Diversity is what makes the world interesting, Acceptance is what harmonizes warring peoples, and Tolerance is what brings us together. The more we show our own views through actions and words, the more people that will realize that the only way to be 'ONE nation, [under god]' is to live and work together, knowing the differences, yet accepting. And don't think I speak only for America. Call me naive that I don't know any National Anthems or Pledges or other such things for other countries, but surely they have similar lines, and even if not, it is still a message that all should know.
