1 Decade, 400000 Lives, $4,000,000,000,000

An important anniversary this weekend.

I'm still looking for the "why" our response to the attacks that stole our naivety, cost us much of our personal freedom and cost so many people a "normal" life.

That the attacks of September 11, 2001 were a tragedy is not being disputed. If you think they were unjustified, I would agree, but only on the basis that I firmly believe violence is never a solution. That there wasn't an American action that justified

Summer's End

by Grey_Dragon on 08-28-2011 at 03:56 AM
The under brush is starting to change color now, the pilgrims are thinning out, the nights are now
getting longer and cooler. The fawns are now losing their spots and starting to stray away from momma

by Grey_Dragon on 08-01-2011 at 04:06 AM
Summertime - The least favorite season for me. Don’t get me wrong, I like a nice warm day and cool night just as much as anyone else (especially anyone who rides a motorcycle). This year we had an unusually long cool and wet spring, everything greened up, the undergrowth went wild with growth, the grass is about waist high, not a bad start to the season.

Have you ever thought about time?

by Grey_Dragon on 07-13-2011 at 03:49 AM
The physicists will tell you any particular time line is a series of related events that happen in a progressive order. Birth, childhood, teen tears, adulthood, old age, death describes a type of time line that for much of human existence was our measure of time. Once we became aware of seasonal cycles we could then put a length to the time line. That was fine for hunters, gatherers, and farmers but along came a class of people that could have something new - Leisure Time. Not so much as “What are

Family and For Mom

by Grey_Dragon on 05-08-2011 at 04:19 AM
Been pushing on a rope lately.

We are integrating a new member into our family, a 12 year old girl. She is the sister of our adopted son and, to put it lightly, three handfuls. Like our son she has Reactive Attachment Disorder, Attention Deficient Disorder, came from a very abusive and neglectful birth family. The young lady has been with us now for a little over a month and the honeymoon period was over the day she moved in full time.

No honeymoon
