Post I found the new greeting area!

I posted to the Youthful Pagans area because I could not find this section. I'm so happy I found it. I'm new here and new to Wicca. I want to learn from others who would be happy to help. I have been looking around the forms and everyone seems very nice. I am so happy I decided to join.

I am here to learn who I really am. If anyone had any suggestions on where to get started it would be a big help. I have looked on a some different sites but this site has been the most helpful so far. It's a blessing to of found this site and want to do everything I can to learn more about Wicca, Witchcraft and myself.

    Blessed Be

Hi, I am new here too, but I am not new to paganism/wicca. The best advice I can give you is what was told to me. Read a lot. Take from it what feels right to you. I wish you luck in your search, if there is anything I can help with, just ask.

Reading different books on Wicca/Paganism is definately the best advice that I can offer as well as reading all of the posts on here.. there is alot of information out there, just be careful and use discernment and wise judgement on what you use. And just like what Fallonrayne said, take what feels right to you, you will "know" what feels right as well as what doesnt. Good luck in your journey and everyone here is very nice. I joined a few weeks ago..Have questions just ask... =) ~Blessed Be~ Nahimana

Thank you for the wonderful advice. I'll make sure to read a lot and search around here some more. I do have one question, I read on a couple different sites about a divine, but none of them mention who the divine is. Is there a certain divine to give thanks to?

The divine can be called by many names. The lord and lady, god and goddess, as well as by specific names ( such as Isis, Thor, etc.). The divine is what you feel it is to YOU, not what it is to others. Some people do not have specific deities they worship to but will call upon them if the need arises, others have specific ones they use all the time. The divine is within us and around us. Again, this is something that you will find as you search and learn your path. Something may speak to you one day when you least expect it and then you will know.

Will everyone seems to have covered everything. Like Fallonrayne said about the divine is complete right whatever feels right to you. Never doubt yourself. You'll know what is right. Read tons & never stop you'll always learn something new.
I know what you mean about finding yourself Im just now found that door & Im standing in the doorway not sure whats inside but I'm learning.
I love to work on my BOS & just relax & be one with myself, Same with jaring herbs, Working in the garden, Riding bikes. Always find time for yourself. Even if its just a candle lite bath. I know you'll do just fine

I feel silly asking this question, but what is Wicca? I know it is a nature based religion but I don't understand what it means.

There are many websites out there that can help you learn this. Wicca is a nature based religion, it focuses on the goddess and the god and has several sabbats and what not. Try reading Scott Cunningham. His books are good reading.

I've read his name a few times on here. I just ordered two of his books to help me out. I can't wait to get them! Thank you so much! Everyone has been so nice to me and has helped me so much. I know this the the right choice for me.
