Well, I guess I have a different experience to share. I have always hated shopping, and grew up with a mother who liked nothing better than walking through a store and looking at anything and everything--from baby socks to fishing tackle. Especially odd because she had no little babies around, and never went fishing. When I got married I thought I was done with those agonizing, foot-destroying shopping trips. But, low and behold, my husband could shop my mother into the ground. Found him looking at plastic plants for fish aquariums the other day, and you guessed it, no fish aquarium!

Have you ever noticed when you don't have any money you see hundreds of things you would like to buy, but when you have the cash and are ready to spend it you can't find one thing that you like? I think folks just get pickier when it is actually time to lay out the cash.

Maybe that is why it takes so long. Usually if it is not on sale I don't buy it, except for books of course.

I agree, I hate shopping. I buy new clothes once a year. The stores are over crowded, and over priced. Plus there are a thousand different styles, for everything. Plus they keep making sizes smaller and smaller, so you have to try on 2 dozen things before you find your actual size, which tirns out to be 4 sizes bigger than you normally would wear. AAAARRRRGGGGHHHHH! I hate shopping![evil]

I don't mind going for an occasional browsing if I'm looking for new ideas, but usually I'm in and out of stores pretty fast. I used to work retail fulltime in a large mall for several years, and it burned me out on malls, shopping and crowds pretty quick. I try to limit myself to just a couple of shopping trips to the mall a year.

I do the majority of my shopping online (mostly clothes and household stuff) and at my local town center just a block from my house that includes a Home Depot, Target and Walmart. That takes care of just about everything.

Shopping sucks. If I can't find a pair of shoes in under 5 minutes then I'm not getting any. I can think of better things to do that "shop" all doggone day. So maybe we should ask you... how old is your sister? Young women under 25 LOVE to shop for hours. Us Mothers and Crones have no time for sillyness.

You know, it really depends on what I am shopping for. I like to shop for clothes. I rarely go to malls. Most of my shopping is done at Old Navy, Kohl's or Target. I have a friend that I have lunch with every Wednesday and we hit Target almost everytime. It is loads of fun.
