Re: Just to let you guys know...
Check out a site called paperbackbookswap.com. It's free. You post books you are done with and swap them for other people's books. All it costs is the postage to mail the books. (send Alex to the post office). If you send them "media mail" it costs less than $3.oo to mail a hardcover. You pick a book from the ones others have posted and request it and they mail it to you. You can at least sit there and look forward to the mail. On the bright side you have time to look into some chat rooms. You could take up a hobby. Needlepoint on cactus or collecting Austrailian pocket fuzz. Anything to keep your mind from running around like a hampster in a wheel. [grin]

Re: Just to let you guys know...
LOL
well I am watching an awful lot of TV...I fear my eyes will go square!
Thelma, I am actually an artist...that's how I got into make-up. I thought of drawing but no art stores were open yesterday or today. I have all the canvas and paints I'd need for painting, but I can't paint in bed...don't want to make a mess. so I'll have to get Alex to get me some pencils and a pad tomorrow.
The bleeding has stopped, I'm just cramping now. My behind is going numb! I have taken to sitting up in bed because lying down all the time is driving me nuts. And to watch TV I come out to the TV room and lie in the recliner. I'm basically just being a lazy bum for the next five days

Big Hugs and healing thoughts for you and the baby.
I've been in your spot and now have a wonderful fully spirited 7 year old boy.

PS..once the numbing passes..you begin to not feel your behind at all!!

Good! (About being a bum, that is!) That's exactly what you should be doing.Selene Lilitu wrote:

As for a sore behind from lying on it, unless your doctor told you not to, spend 15-20 minutes several times a day lying on your side and tightening and releasing your butt muscles for several repetitions. You can also do that with your legs muscles, too. I was non-weightbearing and confined to bed for 3 months each time I had an ankle surgery, and I had 5 surgeries over the course of several years between 1996 and 2000. So, I understand fully how sore and tired your body can get (especially your backside) from lying or sitting all day and night. I ended up getting hemorrhoids that I still occasionally have to deal with, and you really want to prevent that from happening to you. Along with the tush muscle tightening, also tuck a small, soft pillow under your behind while you lay or sit. Better yet, if you can afford to pick one up, have Alex get you a donut pillow. They sell for around $10 (in the US), and can be found in the pharmacy section of most stores. They are vinyl and inflatable, and are a BIG help in preventing pressure in that area and alleviating discomfort.

Re: Just to let you guys know...
Thanks Cate!
Thelma; Thanks for all the advice, it does help when I'm stiff from lying down!
I went to the OBGYN yesterday. I'm perfectly healthy, blood pressure is back down to its normal low state (It was really high on Friday, probably due to anxiety). He said everything looks fine, we're just waiting to see what the follow up ultrasound shows. That appoinment is on Saturday.
I'm still on bed rest, just to be safe, till next monday.

I agree with Althaea, on top of that try having him relax and meditate before bed. If it helps have him keep a journal near by and record the instances as best as he can. But, definitely go through a...
