Ummm, as a bisexual woman, I'm not sure if I want to be referred to by a monicker that sounds an awful lot live Bivalve. I will not be an oyster!but i still feel it is time for a new word, at least for me. Â*

You know why they are considered that don't you? Rather than face the thought of sliding another cold slimy piece of snot down their throat most people will consider ANYTHING to get them out of it!But oysters are aphrodisiacs!
<Shudder> Hey, what can I say? One shellfish and this is magpie is a dead dodo. If you want to loosen me up, go for the chocolate and the tequila.
Hmmm. Chocolate tequila?

Re: I'm giving a speech
I'm bisexual, and in my experiences (and, I'm sixteen, so it's not like there have been many), it's not that I've been accused of being in it only for the sex, it's that I've been accused of being "indecisive" and "greedy". Apparently, where I come from, it's only acceptable to choose one or the other, not both.
I hope your speech goes well, though!♥

Wow. Sounds like one nasty allergy you've got there. Sympathies.Magpiebard wrote:

As for Chocolate Tequila, I don't know if we're quite that evolved as a species yet, but my mother did find a bottle of Chocolate Vodka to put in my Christmas stocking this past year. Yum yum!
And Lavender_Moonhawk, we've all been there. It's not only where you hail from. When I originally came out to my mother, I tried telling her I was bi first, to "ease" her into the idea...suffice to say it didn't go well. I heard the same things; I'm greedy, I can't make up my mind, I want to have my cake and eat it too, I want the best of both worlds, etc. And this from a liberal NYCer, with tons of gay friends. Apparently it's different when it's your own kid. Ah well. And on that note...welcome to CL! lol

Artemis, I do understand the point you were making, and you made it well, I might add.Artemis_NYC wrote:
...."Straight" even has the added bonus of sounding clean, nice, natural, good, proper, and right, such as in the phrases "straight-laced" or "straight and narrow".
However, am I the only one who views the phrases "straight," "straight-laced," and "straight and narrow" as negative connotations? To me, "straight" also denotes rigid, unbending, inflexible, unchanging.....all unflattering and undesirable attributes to me.
I have no other point with this other than the desire to make this observation.

I agree with Althaea, on top of that try having him relax and meditate before bed. If it helps have him keep a journal near by and record the instances as best as he can. But, definitely go through a...
