Re: ....the Other Dark Meat
My grandparents used to make racoon and squirrels and rabbits...mostly in a big slow cooker.

Re: ....the Other Dark Meat
I don't know if I could eat raccoon, urban or not, considering they're not too picky about what they eat.
My culinary adventures haven't been that...adventurous. [lol] Â*I've eaten deer, squirrel, rabbit and wild turkey (so much better than the store bought birds.) Â*
However...my biology teacher in high school once cooked up a rattlesnake. Â*He claimed it was pretty good. [confused]

...... I have had snake.. and Gator as well...Squid on a Stick (from a street vendor in China).. Octopus.. Horse (very RED Meat!) and Dog. In my wilderness training, I have eaten bugs, grubs, spiders.... and, yes... I ate a monkey once. [tongue]

Oooo...I didn't count octopus. Â*I figured it was just 'good with marinara' and not that far out there anymore. Â*I did forget about the cuttlefish I had once - complete with its little crispy tentacles. Â* It tasted a bit strange but it was almost addictive.LINN wrote:

The gator and squid sound interesting. Â*I don't know about the rest, though. Â*[confused][lol]
