taco seasoning
This comes highly recommended and is used as you would any store bought envelope of taco seasoning mix...but, of course it contains no nasty,unpronouncable preservatives.
* 6 teaspoons of chili powder
* 5 teaspoons paprika
* 4 ½ teaspoons cumin
* 2 ½ teaspoons onion powder
* 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder
* 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Combine all ingredients in a jar with a tight fitting lid. Mix by shaking well. Store in a cool dry place for up to 6 months.
This recipe for taco seasoning makes about ½ cup or 21 teaspoons.
Note: 7 teaspoons of this mix will equal one package of store bought taco seasoning.

Re: taco seasoning
Thanks! Everytime I buy this stuff, I think it must be so much better (and less expensive) to make it myself!
