Re: Cold Day Corn Bread
Linn
I love your cooking style. It is so way different from mine, and so refreshing! I get to step out of my box for a while. LOL
Using the Stew meat is a novel idea...I never heard or even considered it before.
Our family loves sweet corn bread I am going to have to give these recipes a try. It is so much fun trying new ways for old classics!
Thanks for sharing!

Oooo - that does sound good! Â*
I have to add my vote to 'no sugar in the cornbread.' Â*Cornbread with sugar in it isn't cornbread - it's a yankee dessert concoction! Â*[smile]

Re: Cold Day Corn Bread
Mmm, that chili looks wonderful! I'll definitely try that our next -40* day. As for the sweetness of cornbread, I'm tossing my vote the way of less sweetness. It just balances better on my tastebuds, because I drink goat milk with meals instead of regular milk.

Re: Cold Day Corn Bread
I am trying the corn bread. Â*But you come up with something else instead of preshredded 'mexican' cheese, mister! Â*I don't want to know what that is suppose to be. Â*Would Monterrey or Cheddar be closer? Â*And I will be sure to throw some jalapenos in it...mmmm...good.[dancing-banana]

Re: Cold Day Corn Bread
haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa Bless your heart;
"Mexican Cheese" is just a blend of cheeses that work in Mexican food... Chedar and Monteray Jack...also Asadero and Queso Quesadilla are in there....
