Thread: "Cleaning" for moving

In two months, I will be moving from the room that I rent in a house to an apartment. I'm a clean person, and do like to super-clean my space when I move out of it, but find that when I move TO a new place, I still have to do some cleaning of my own. Besides just the "surface" cleaning, I also am aware that there are ways of cleansing a space that you're leaving, and then cleansing the new space (in this case, an apartment) before moving in. I am very sensitive to the energies "left behind" by those that occupied a living space before me, and would really like to get a fresh start in my new place.

My question is, does anyone have any kind of good cleansing rituals they use for this purpose, or can you offer any good recommendations for resources that deal with this issue. As far as the house goes, I'm pretty much limited to my room and bathroom, since the rest of the house is out of my control. However, I'll be moving into the apartment with one of my friends - who is also pagan - so I will have a bit more freedom with the cleansing ritual there. Any suggestions/help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance! [grin]
