Re: Advice Please
Anala that is a wonderful suggestion.
I love paper plate nights .. especially in the summer.
One pot meals are even better along with dinners you can prepare in aluminum foil.

Re: Advice Please
Paper Plate nights are the best!!! Thanks for the suggestions guy!!! I apprieate it you don't even know. I've almost got the whole kitchen clean and organized. I used to hate to be in my kitchen other that when i was cooking or doing magic, spells and such. but i've found myself spending more time in there.
Brightest Blessings!

We have the same exact kitchen cleaning habits. We must have been sisters in another life time.
Or pulled kp duty for being naughty.

I'd like to think that perhaps we were sisters in another lifetime, but I've also had my share of being naughty. I don't usually get kp duty for that, though.
lol an the debauchery train continues...
but the three of us have the exact same kitchen habits!
though I must say...there are two places in my home that MUST be spotless, clinically clean - my kitchen and my bathroom. I don't mind a little 'messisness' (like not making the bed or leaving a few book on the living room table) but not in those two rooms.

Paper Plates are the best! The less time in the kitchen for me the better! [grin]
I know this sounds messy...but I love to eat with my fingers...*finger food*!
Not everything is easy to eat with your fingers...but most of the Healthy Foods to eat are![cool]

I do have a question for everyone...how do you all eat your pizza. Where I am from you fold a slice in half, fold it over and eat with your hands. When ever I see someone using a knife and fork, I can't help but think "Your doing it wrong"

Sounds finger-licking good to me. [evil]fate wrote:

As for how to eat pizza, I simple pick up a slice and bite into it somewhere.....usually at the tip first and slowly bite my way back to my favorite part....the crust. I only use a knife and fork if the pizza is extremely hot or way too messy. I never fold it over as LadyLor described , but I've seen that done before and it always reminds me of making pizza into a "sandwich."

No your not, I live in the south too and thats no joke about ants and roaches. I clean right after meals and make sure all is taken care of. I can't stand getting up in the morning to dirty.. Not a pleasing way to start the day. I noticed both my sons have learned from me too[grin][bounce][grin]JuniperDusk wrote:
I do the same thing as well with cleaning my kitchen. In the south, you can't mess around too long with letting dirty dishes sitting around for too long or the roaches and ants move in.
There is nothing that can piss me off quicker than waking up to see dishes in the sink that I know I could have done within 10 to 20 minutes the night before or something spilt on the floor! Rarely have I ever let that happen (only if I'm gravely ill) and most of the time, I can't even sit still and enjoy the rest of the evening if the kitchen not neat and tidy and wiped down. I'm freaky that way.

When we first moved down here from Indy I about peed myself seeing the size of the roaches down here!!! Man if I could just train them to wash the dishes!! They are big enough!! I would be happy to leave them out some goodies!
My father-in-laws house had them everywhere.(We had to stay there temp. until we found a place.) When I would get up in the middle of the night to tinkle I would have to make myself go in the bathroom and shoo them away, without tinkling on myself!! The first time I just about did!! I don't care that they call them, Palmeto bugs, they are COCKROACHES that are big enough to carry away your children!!!
I had my hubby find the places these horrible creatures where getting in a plug them up. Then of course I had to totally clean out his house and show him how to clean up after himself in the kitchen. He doesn't have such the problem anymore. But what a way to be introduced to those nasty critters!!!
I no longer leave out fruit, or butter uncovered, well butter I covered most the time anyway... Fruit flies and mold are another problem this far down south. Bread molds quicker, and fruit ripens and rots double time down here!

Re: Advice Please
Mamma Willowe you are so right as well. Just the other day we went to the store and bought some tomatoes and I had them sitting in the bowl that I have set them in for 12 years .. two days later I kept wondering what the hell this smell was, but I couldn't find it. When it came time to make dinner and prepare the salad .. I found the smell .. the tomatoes were so over rippened that they had turned to actual watery mush. Now, some may ask, why did I have them on a bowl on my counter instead of in my fridge?... I don't and never have placed my maters in the fridge ... just they way we've always done it.
The Palmetos ... I know what you mean, what's worse is THEY FLY!!!! Neatness count's especially in the south!
