Candle wax on fabric!
Candle wax on material, such as clothing or alter cloths comes up with a warm iron and wax paper, with the waxy side facing down. It disapears like majick and wax does not get on the iron.
It never fails when you are away from home, in a foreign wood with a major party following, white wax will get on your best black frock and or robe in a circle. Â*[eek]

There's a couple of other threads floating around with questions about candle wax. You might find something helpful in reading them. In this one, someone else also asks about wax on wood: http://www.cauldronliving.com/cgi-bin/index.cgi?action=forum&board=housekeeping& op=display&num=835raiseanative wrote:

And, on this thread, people recommend using peanut butter to remove wax residue: http://www.cauldronliving.com/cgi-bin/index.cgi?action=forum&board=housekeeping& op=display&num=1954
Personally, since heat softens wax, I would suggest you try to remove some of the wax off of the wood by rubbing with a SOFT cloth that won't scratch the wood, but create enough friction over time that heat will be generated. This might help to remove some of the wax onto the cloth. Maybe even try passing a hair dryer back and forth over the towel for a few seconds at the time in between rubbing to help the wax soften/melt even more. I must add that I haven't tried this technique myself, but if I had wax to remove from wood, this would be what I would try.
Good luck!

If not mentioned alreay, you could use wax paper, and an iron and it comes off on the wax paper..

Re: Candle wax on Carpets!
I think I have had wax on everything. Tables, carpets, hardwood floors, clothing, doilies. Â*My method is to ice then scrape and pull as much off as possible. Â*Sometimes that's all you need. Â*Then I iron with a paper towel..or several. Â*If this doesn't do it, I scrub with hot (i mean smoking hot) soapy water. Â*Also, there is a product that is relatively inexpensive that sometimes, works. Â*It's called Wax Away.
[smile]Sometimes the process needs to be repeated...like what I did to my pants at Yule.[rolleyes]
