Ringworm :(
Will I found out today I have ringworm on my knee. I feel really nasty. I know I read that sea salt helps didn't know if there was anything else herb wise that could help.
Plus I think I got it from one of my three dogs. So That means I need to figure out which.
Anyone know of anything???

That really sucks! I don't know of anything but what the doc dishes out. Sorry.

I always thought it was weird that when the fungus is on your feet it's called Athelete's foot, but if it's anywhere else it's Ringworm. :s
Get better soon!

Oh, ringworm is horrible to deal with. The only two remedies I know of are apple cider vinegar (balances the acidity in human skin) and clear nail polish. And you will need to wash all your clothing and bedding, including anything the dogs have been on with hot water and bleach.
I have heard that bleach (1 part to 6 parts water dabbed on) but have not ever tried it. Seems like that would cause a chemical burn. With that being said, Clorox brand is sodium hypochlorite, which should be safe for skin. You wouldn't want to use sodium hydroxide (caustic lye).
You can tell which dog has ringworm by using a black light. Oddly enough, ringworm has a greenish glow in black light. You can also look for any heavy shedding in one area and/or rough scaly skin. It doesn't always show up as red raised bumps.
I hope you get rid of it before it spreads! Good luck.“There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.”

More than likely all your dogs have it. It is highly contagious. Ringworm is a fungus, not an actual worm parasite. Since it is a fungus try using fungicides, herbally you could make a pokeberry tincture for future use or St. John's wort which both have fungicide qualities. Then you would apply topically. Poke though stains the affected area purple.
hope this helps,

I agree with Althaea, on top of that try having him relax and meditate before bed. If it helps have him keep a journal near by and record the instances as best as he can. But, definitely go through a...
