    Default Hovering Death?

My ÂÂ*Granddaughters (4 and 7 years old) were hospitalized and very ill with H1N1 flu, pneumonia and other issues. Prior to the 4 yr old’s admission to the hospital she spontaneously told her Mother I don’t ÂÂ*want to die and go to Heaven. ÂÂ*I want to stay here with you. ÂÂ*She was admitted first. ÂÂ*As I waited in the ER with my Daughter I rested one hand on the 4 yr old’s head and the other on her lower torso and relied on repeating my customary chant ~
I call upon my Mother’s Mother
I call upon my Father’s Mother
I call upon all those who have gone before
    Bless and Protect this Child
    Bring Her health
She was transferred to another hospital with a pediatric intensive care unit. ÂÂ* The following day her 7 yr old sister was admitted as well. ÂÂ*Several nights as I slept in a chair in the hospital room they shared, I opened my eyes to see a very dark mass, perhaps about 2 feet in diameter, maybe bigger, hovering just above the 4 yr old and slightly to the side. ÂÂ*It appeared solid (in that I could not see through it) and had no particular shape. ÂÂ*If I had to describe the shape I would say it was shaped like a stingray fish (minus the tail), really more of a slightly stretched blob, an ameoba. ÂÂ*It did not feel particularly ominous, nor benevolent. ÂÂ*It was just there. ÂÂ*Each time I told the mass to go away, that it could not have her. ÂÂ*Each time it would then vanish. ÂÂ*Sometimes I would repeat the above chant. ÂÂ* ÂÂ*
I wanted to share this experience and am interested in your thoughts

Well I would consider this an entity of some kind. In hospitals there are people who die but instead of passing on they remain due to an unresolved conflict or some reason they feel they can't leave. When someone is very ill the gateway opens and perhaps this is what the entity is attracted to. IF you feel fear here are some suggestions.

Your chant does not request the presence of a being of light, positive and benevolent Power, instead you are just calling on your ancestors. These souls may have already been reincarnated and so you may be calling on no-one to help bring protection. Call on whatever you consider your DIETY, and whatever you consider elevated beings (ANGELS) for protection instead, or whatever spiritual entity in your mythos you believe will do the highest good.

    JayneBond,
Thank you for your reply. All my rituals revolve around the ancestor bit, it never dawned on me that they might not be available (I don't know why not, I'm a firm believer in reincarnation). This is now going to call for more thought and introspection on my part. I haven't latched on to the deity/goddess ideology and have always found solace in calling on ancestors, but I see now there's a flaw in that. JD, you are really messing with my head now. I have always believed in reincarnation but yet I've also found comfort in thinking that when we die we're reunited with loved ones who've died before. (as in more of a reunion than just (just?)being reincarnated ourselves with the same folks around us) I should have known I wasn't finished figuring out my beliefs and that that journey never ends.

Thank you Fate. This is why I enjoy this forum. Again, it never dawned on me to call on HER angels, I called on mine. I need to think outside the box. I thought I had my path pretty much figured out..not. The girls are both home from the hosptial and doing well. They were playing hospital the other day, pretending to flush each others IVs, etc.
