    Default Astral travel

Well I do have one more story that I would like to share and this seems like a good place to put it.

My daughter was having her second sinus surgery in several years and this time because of work obligations I was unable to travel to Phoenix to be with her. I was feeling worried and just a little bit guilty. I knew there was no point in calling because she would be wiped out on drugs and probably sleeping anyway, but I wanted to reassure myself that she was OK. I decided to try to contact her psychically. I went to bed and began to concentrate and suddenly found myself lifting off the bed and flying across the desert. I could actually see the ground whizzing past underneath me. After a few minutes of this I saw her ahead, she was in bed, asleep and surrounded by "light beings" who at the time I took to be angels. As I got closer one of the "beings" came toward me and although it did not actually speak, I understood that I should not worry, she was fine and they would stay through the night and watch over her. Feeling reassured I turned around and whizzed back home.

It was a unique and wonderful experience but one that I have not had a compelling enough reason to attempt again. Thank the Goddess for that.

That is amazing! I hope when my daughter reaches adulthood that our bond stays as strong.

I did this once but mine was almost embarrasing

I chanted, meditated, everything and anything I could do to try to astra project and this went on for years, finally I gave up

ariound that time I was laying in my bed and hitting that just so relaxed stage that you feel mabie your heading to sleep but yet you still have complete control, you know everything going on around you etc..suddenly I lifted out of my body I could see myself laying on the bed...so what did I do (covers face) freaked..I suddenly freaked all I know is its a wonder i didnt break my bones as hard as I shot back into myself. I was petrified and I still dont know why

my story sad as it is lol

Vaishy, I had a similar experience but I had never tried to astral project or anything since I was only about 3 years old at the time. I remember floating near the ceiling in my room and seeing myself laying on the floor (I must have fallen off the bed) and I remember thinking "Wow, is that me?" And "What am I doing on the floor?" I stayed up there a while and then I remember waking up, on the floor, and thinking "Wow, it was me!" and my mother was there and I asked her "Mom, did I fall off the bed?" She said "Yeah, I guess so". I think the jult of falling off my bed displaced my spirit or something and that's why I had an OBE. I'll never forget it though and it was 21 years ago.

Wow, i love to hear other people talk about thier experiences like this. I do this all the time it seems, especially if i am worried about something. I used to Own and Direct two major state beauty pageants, and one year was especially stressful because i had NO STAFF to help me, i went to bed thinking about it (before i decided to follow the wiccan path) and the next thing i know is that i was floating in the auditorium and watching the pageant, all was well and it went perfectly, so i knew then that it was going to be ok. I could actually see myself floating, yet i saw myself on the stage announcing too? It was very clear and this is not my only experience like this. I have found that if i concentrate really hard and go into a meditive state that i seem to do this, once i woke up knowing that my boyfriend was fooling around on me, i saw her could explain to him exactly what she looked like, and she lived over 2 hrs away from where we lived and she had never been in our town or me in hers! It was like watching a movie, i could see them, the place they were, what they both were wearing, etc. I am still not sure if it was actually astro planing or just a type of premanition but whatever it is, It is such a gift to me that i thank the goddess!

I Remember when I was3-4 I used of wake up floating at the ceiling, upon awakining I would gently float back in my body. The first thing I relized was that I was outside of my body, leaving it completely vulnerable. That thought would send me gently back into my body.
I have had other experience other than those. I was 19 at the time, and had just finished a very taxing banishing ritual with some kindred. I went to my boyfriend's house at the time and fell asleep. I remember walking out of the bedroom, I was talking to my boyfriend, worried I'd be home late and get in trouble, I got all the way to the front door before I relized He was not behing me and I was out of my body. It took me a while to reorient myself once I truley woke.
I also seem to enter similar state, when a spirit is near. I was asleep on night and all of a sudden I was wide awake, but I couldn't move a muscle. My eyes were the only I could move, I looked at my doorway and saw a head and shoulder peeking aroun. When it noticed me watching, it floating to the very top, that startled me so much I came right up and awake. Would welcome more good ones in the future

I remember the first time I tried. I read, prepared myself, tried and tried, and nuthin'.. Then one night, I had given up and wasn't doing anything and all of a sudden, up, up and away.

It was absolutely marvelous and still is every time.

That reminds me of a part in the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy series, you can fly if you fall and just before you hit the ground you get destracted by something. As long as you don't think about flying or the ground you will stay up. Say you are walking along and trip on something, as you fall you realize it's a rare species of insect and while you are distracted by it you fly up into the air. Just thought I'd share what popped into my mind. ^_^

I Love Astral Travel..the only time it seems to happen to me is when things are stressful...It is like I need a mini vacation break. The only thing I hate..are the ones I vaguely remember but wake up like I crashed into a building! I'm sore for days![grin][bounce]

I'm not sure if it was Astral Travel or just a recurring dream I had as a child but I would often see myself floating down the front stairs of our home, drifting through the air and before I reached the bottom of the stairs I would wake up.
