Preparing for Spring?
Have you started to plan and prepare for Spring planting yet?
This is the perfect weather to curl up in a chair with your seed and seedling catalog and a cup of tea. I have started to plan and do need to get going on starting the seedlings for planting. Next week we'll be pruning back the grapevines. I can't wait for the warm up to begin!

I finally got a copy of my favorite seed catalog the other day: WildSeeds. I've been looking through it and deciding what native plants I want to order. I'm going on the premise that it will warm up eventually and it's not actually the snowy beginning of Ragnarok. (After six inches in the last two weeks, we're in line for a possible three more!)

Ya its saying on the news we may get 1-4 or 4-8 more. Some what want it now since I had to work friday. But some what don't cause I hate to leave my patients with a broken or hurting tooth. Made me a witchy Snowman tho. Shes soooo cute. LOL

Yep, they do! It's Wildseed Farms - Fredericksburg, Texas - The World's Largest Working Wildflower Farm - Home
I love their catalog because not only does it tell you what parts of the country the seeds are native to but it also has a photo of the seedlings so you know when they're coming up - and they sell most of their seed by the packet; 1/4 lb. 1/2 lb and pound

Hee! I got to build a few snowmen too...even if they seemed to have minds of their own. I built one near my mailbox, intending to have its head sitting on top and the body reaching for it. By the time I finished making the head, the body had rolled into the ditch. So...I ended up leaving the head sitting beside the mailbox, looking down into the ditch like it just couldn't believe the incompetence. The other one was intended to be "help! Help me get out of this ditch!" but it ended up being more "demented opera singer."

They didn't get to last very long - it started raining just as I put the finishing touches on the singer's face. It's funnier in Enochian.

I started my garden. The clean-up and small plants. But we got snow last night and its only 30 degrees here all day. This weather is crazy. One minute nice in the 60's and next minute freezing. I guess once its nice again I will start over.

I know how you feel......I plant ed my lil garden..and that very night we received torrential rains!!! I'm afraid that my garden may have been over watered!!!!! I'm not sure what to do....hoping it will dry out; but if not, maybe i should dig it up and start over???
