A couple of days ago, I bought some new herbs and planted them. I thought they wouldn't grow so I took a bunch and just mixed them in the dirt. But my thyme sprouted like crazy! I have thyme sticking out from the same spots. I don't know what to do. Does thyme grow super big? And do I have to move those that are growing too close to each other? My mom says to just kill some of them but I'd feel so guilty. It's too cruel but I guess I'll do it if I absolutely have to. I'm going off to China for 4 days(my aunt's watering them for me) and I'm praying they won't all go haywire when I come back.
What should I do with my thyme? I can't give them away cause I don't know any herb fans or other Pagans. I really don't have enough pots to grow all the thyme unless they're uber small or fine with growing close together in that small space I can provide. I grow my plants on my balcony. Do my herbs really have to be far apart? I don't have enough space to set each seed like 25cm away from the other. Help please!
Sounds like the best thing to do is to thin out your plants. Don't despair about pulling some of them as it will help insure the ones that remain will have enough room to be healthy and strong plants.
