The CL Garden Club was an excellent idea previously proposed by one of our posters. However, due to lack of participation/interest, the Garden Club chats never really got going.
There are a dozen members who posted on the Garden Club thread that they were interested in taking part in chats and discussions, so I'm posting this in the hopes that one of them, or someone else, has an interest in leading the group. You don't need a green thumb or any particular knowledge about plants and gardens to lead the group. It does, however, require the commitment of a small amount of time, i.e., time to schedule the chat and post information about it in the Garden Club thread, and time to host the chats about once a month or so (for a minimum of approximately 30 minutes). You also would need to check the Garden Club thread on a regular basis for any questions, comments, and discussion posted by others.
If anyone is interested in hosting the Garden Club or has any questions about doing so, please send me a PM and let me know. In the meantime, due to lack of interest, the current Garden Club is going inactive.
Just wanted to announce that one of our moderators, Azra, has graciously stepped forward to lead the Garden Club chats, so I wanted to give her a big THANK YOU for volunteering to do that.
Look for her announcement soon on the Garden Gnome Forum listing the day and time of the next Garden Club chat. I hope everyone who has questions, comments, or tips about gardening or who just wants to discuss plants and herbs with others will participate in the chats.
