    Looks great Uaine!

Things have been winding down here, as we are in the midst of a drought and, I don’t want to run the well dry. Most of the produce is canned/dried and, the herbs are nearly ready for last harvest. Heck, I even get morels in the woods, every spring. It's brilliant living in the enchanted forest!

I'm leaving most of the kole crops; carrots, beets and neeps until after the first frost, which may come as soon as this week. After that, the hunting season can commence. A nice bit of rabbit and morel stew always makes the cold weather more tolerable.

Sounds nice piper. I know I not as ready for winter as normal I really got hook on my garden. Ive brought some herbs in to the house. I can't wait to have my own home to have a green house so I have my herbs year round. I know hunting season started here last week. I've been out watching the deer & saw myself a turkey.

So far as I can tell, you only see turkeys when you don't have your gun ready. First freeze will start rabbit season for me. Urban sprawl has sent a great deal of spotty livers and tumours on the rabbits close by. Not getting much meat but, I suppose--at least--they are put out of their misery before winter. Still have a few duck and goose from last season, if my daughter hasn't raided the freezer...

lol I know we have tons of meat from the deer. we give it to food banks to help out people. Its a shame that there are pple out there that give hunting a bad name!
