Sounds like this could be a 'productive' idea! Cant wait for it to germinate, [grin]
Im definitely interested in coming along once its sorted, but someone will have to help me with the time... i get confused with converting it into my (English) time [confused]
[oops]While we're sort of all here.....can I get some input on what we all think?? Do we want to do this as a gathering of friends and interested interesting people over a cup of tea to chit chat with each other over an afternoon?? I think if we left it sort of informal and with a longer space of time like over a longer afternoon ...[grin]then the time differences would not be quite as big a factor. The other thing to remember we all live in different zones for climate as well. I can't wait to see and hear how we do things and rise to the challenges and hear who has tried to grow Mandragora in a pot.[dancing-banana]
[grin]So until Uaine and I get to meet and get this together tell us what you want in your Cauldron Living Pagan Garden Club! Â*[llama-banana]
In the North the seed catalogues are arriving to be savoured over a cup of tea/coffee/glass of wine [smile] the dreams of that one picture perfect illusive rose/tomatoe, the hopes for a good harvest, the lure of the description of that heirloom pole bean that sounds lovely but.... And in the South the harvest is coming in and you're not sure what you're going to do with one more tomatoe but they taste so great and the small triumphs and small disappointments of the choices you made in spring. [wink]
Who of you are facing extreme challenges like urban farming in major cities? Who of you grow our food? Who of you plant sunflowers in the middle of London roadways? Who of you harvest for spell work from your garden and what do you grow? Who of you grow heirloom varieties? Does anyone grow orchids or bonsai?[smile]
We'll keep you posted but until we get it organized ....the puns are great[smile]....the enthusiasm is awesome[smile]...now tell us what your vision for your club is.
Brightest Blessings
Bina[smile]
I would really enjoy speaking with people who really enjoy gardening, to share ideas, knowledge and pictures with. I live in Ontario so if there is anyone in my zone who is out there..that is a great bonus as well. I think, I would be happy just to be able to swap info/stories with anyone who likes gardening just as I do.[smile]
Cauldron Living Garden Club Announces Its First Scheduled Chat
Bina, President of the Cauldron Living Garden Club, and Uaine, Moderator of Garden Gnomes Forum, will be hosting the first Cauldron Living Garden Club Chat this Saturday, January 24th at 6:00 PM CENTRAL time. (Please check the World Times clock at the top of this page to determine what time this will be in your own time zone.)
This chat is open to everyone interested in discussing and sharing any and all ideas, thoughts, knowledge, or questions related to plants, herbs, and gardening in general. Please note that the CL Garden Club Chat will take place in Cauldron Living Chatroom #2, the second public chat room. No special log-in passwords are required. Your regular chat log-in password will give you access to this chatroom.
Please join bina and Uaine this Saturday, January 24th, in Cauldron Living Chatroom #2 for a blooming good time!!
Just a reminder that today's the day for the Garden Club's first chat!!
Come join bina and uaine at 6 PM Central time in Cauldron Living Chatroom #2 for discussion, questions, and all topics relating to plants, herbs, gardens, etc. While most of us are in the grips of Winter's cold, this is a good time to plan, dream, and scheme your container garden or garden plots for Spring.
We need to decide on a mutual time that would suit most people. Those who would like to join in on the fun and chat let us know what time is best. The chat room is lots of fun when you get a good conversation going and it is a great place to get to know one another. Â*
bina and uaine, be sure to let me know the day and time when you schedule the next Garden Club chat so I can post announcements in a few places on CL. [smile]
