I got my first tarots deck 2day! It's The Gilded By Barbara Moore!!! I love them they r soooo lovely. The funny thing is. I one of the those people that when I buy something 4 my craft I have that have a connection with it. Thats y i still don't have a bos! But anyways I almost didn't get them because it wouldn't let me see the deck it's self. But I got them & love them!!! Not sure if u guys want 2 no but just thought I would share![grin]

FAntastic. I have a great Tarot Book recommendation for learning Tarot as a beginner: Conolly apprentice and journeymen books are great. I'm not too much into the merging of the Quabbalistic interpretation (male God the Creator and Christ) but the individual tarot card interpretations I think are right on. It teaches you about some complicated aspects of reading the cards such as: reverse/upside down card readings, conjunctions of 2,3,7 & 9's with major arcana cards, the varying energy of the 4 suits, the energies of the court cards, the message aspects of pages, how aces are seeds for growth on a different path, how 7 is an indicator of a major change and 10 is always a transition, the energies of the major arcana. They also have some different spread schematics for the laying out of the cards. It has taught me a lot about how to interpret the cards and give more time/date information so you can know if it will happen right away, or in the future (7 days, 2 weeks, 3 mos etc.). It might help you to get an overall feel and you can get as complex as you dare to delve.

One of the things I like to do is a Tarot reading for the Esbat/Sabat holidays. I try and document these special readings each time in my BOS or journal and the next one see what has come true. For example do one for Mabon and then another for Halloween, etc., etc.

I recently picked up a new deck Its called the knights templar deck. I kinda of like it so far though I am kind of missing my tarot of the moon garden that i had to put to bed, along with the hermetic order of the golden dawn tarot deck i had. I still have my morgan greer one though.
