Default Some dreams are just bizzare.

Had a dream that had a back ground like a painting..walked alone till I came to a sanctuary.(what the building said) so I walked in the hallways were white and barren I opened one door and went in there was a woman's body on the be with no head no blood but like is was supposed to have no head, next to the body sat two cat both red in color one had leaf print on it's body the flowers
they both spoke in turn to me and said the sanctuary was closing come back tomorrow, I shook my head and left.then I woke up! (really bizarre)![confused]

Oh wow...that sounds like a neat dream! ÂÂ*I love the imagery of the cats, with leaf and flower prints.

You could always try the symbolic interpretation of your dream. That means to break down the individual dream symbols that stuck out in your mind as attractors of your attention. Then you can put them together to create the symbolic meaning of your dream. However, all dream symbols are tainted by the individual's own subconscious interpretation. This means that the symbols presented to your individual mind are different from person to person based on your education, superego influences including parental culture and religious upbringing.

It's the old story of will a jewish vampire cower to a cross. No because the jewish vampire does not recognize that symbol of power.

Here are some examples based on my understanding of dream symbology:

"Background like a painting": What kind of painting impressionist or modern? The background represents the surroundings of your life. If it was brightly colored that would suggest a productive, supportive environment.

Juxtaposed to this is the place your brain labeled as a "Sanctuary" was very austere, stark, no chaos. Inside is a woman lying on a bed, I sensed you meant a hospital bed, but the type of bed will give you more insight. This is interesting psychologically because the woman inside the place you have labeled sanctuary is headless- she has no mind, no senses, no method of communicating with the world past the white walls. The sanctuary could be considered therefore "a safe prison". The meaning of what a sanctuary represents to you is important to the dream interpretation of the next element. Cat's in dreams are said to represent the dreamer's casual independence, the fact that you have two of slightly different types mean that you flip between two major personalities. Red is a very passionate color, but it can also be angry. You mention that the woman does not bleed, which would be red in color. The symbol of red therefore has life cannotations to you. What you sense and feel about red will give you insight into these two cat's personalities. One has a leafprint pattern or flowers? Didn't really understand but the patterns will give you insight as well. The facts that the cats speak and tell you the sanctuary is closed is a mechanism which is a metaphor for the action of closing something, coming to an end of something.

It sounds like a message about making a choice about two different paths. Basically that your life will be changing, forcing you to make a decision. Examples of major life changes are going to college, getting married, divorced, a new job, a change of residence, births or deaths of family members, something of that nature.

This is just my interpretation based on my views of the symbols. Your brain interprets symbols differently. I used Mary Summerain's Dream Symbols book for reference.

    peace,
    JB
