Re: Past lives?
Hello,
Some people are psychic and can pick up on the energy of these past lives and so can tell you through a reading. One of the psychics here can describe that better than I.
My perspective is just an opinion based on pursuing this, so take what works and blow the rest away. You should ask yourself why you want to know about a specific past life. All of your past lives hold the same merit, so what do you hope to gain out of becoming cognizant of a past life? AS I discussed with you in chat (I think) some people are drawn to specific past life energies because they had either a gain or loss of energy at a very high magnitude from a decision with karmic repercussions, and in this lifetime they can resolve that energy disparity. Therefore, if you find yourself drawn to specific cultures, or time periods this may be because in this lifetime you have the chance again to deal with your karma from that time, and this time make a better choice in line with the highest good, and the best for your human spirit to help personal evolution.
THE reason why I provide this background is because you probably are searching for answers about why you are drawn to a specific time period through symbols that you see today. An exmple is the pyramids of Egypt. They might affect you so that you want to learn about them, visit their temples restored in computerized images, images which seem very familiar. But when you start traveling down this road of exploring your past lives you might not like what you find, and you may be surprised. For one thing not everyone is famous, and you may find that this lifetime who you are is contrary to what you were in a past life. For example, during the Inquisition you could have been one of those in the priesthood who followed orders and tortured witches and burned them at the stake. So this lifetime (to correct your spirit energies) you find yourself a witch, to understand both sides of the coin, and reap that awareness. Get it?
I would say as a beginner use a medium to facilitate this, but be careful as there are a lot of people out there that just want to take your money, and will tell you what you want to hear. The best advice about past lives are those witches, shamans, mediums who just tell you out of a sense they should, rather than you seeking them out. Attending gatherings with psychics and witches usually include encounters with those who may tell you about a piece of the puzzle of why. I'll never forget my first encounter with a little old witch when I was young who tried to tell me about one of my past lives. I was with a friend and we both giggled like school girls because it seemed so silly at the time because of who I am today. I was very brazen and asked the little old lady why mediums told people they were always somebody famous, not just some joe schmo. She got very irate and nearly caned me, telling me that how dare I cal her a liar and that it was true and important to my path this lifetime that I understand that lifetime and the decisions that were made. So what I tried to do was study that lifetime and by focusing my energy on it, preocuppying my mind, ultimately I had a dream. A lucid dream, and in that dream I then saw players, people, from this lifetime as those historical people. Only at the time I didn't understand the dream, or the warning it was trying to give me. I thought, "THAT can't be right, these people are my friends and teacher" because in the past they betrayed me. Sure enough history repeated itself and they did it again, only this time I personally didn't make the same mistakes, and survived. So for me learning and then performing lucid dreaming helped me to see a past life and see things from a new perspective when I had to deal with it again this lifetime.
Definitely a things that make me go hmm,
JB

Re: Past lives?
I agree with Jayne about using past life regression for helping this life ~ I know the curiosity of wanting to know lives before this one....well........here is a concept that may completely confuse you ~
All your lives are happening at the same time ~ .....? [confused][lol]

Re: Past lives?
Parallel wise?[confused]I understand you, and don't understand you. Parallel universes, realms. Same time, different situations.[confused][eek] I had to jump back in on that one. I got to wondering about something, Hmmm? So you suppose that when you have a deja vu that you are splitting your time and space zone and jumping in on something that is happening at the same moment in your future or past. Ahaaa, I think? Hmmm[confused][confused][lol]and getting a glimpse of it , spooooky huh[eek][eek]

Re: Past lives?
it does make sense about the parallel universe thing.....does explain the deja ve thing....i've been getting that more and more lately....the only time period that has seemed to really attract me is the civil war era...is it possible to have more than one past lives in the same era?

Re: Past lives?
It depends on how long your lifetime was in that era, and what you did that you are drawn to it. For example, let's say you were a boy of 17, entered the civil war and died as a result of that decision to take up arms. You could come back the next time (in the same era a few years later let's say) again as a man, or this time as a woman, in an effort to make you see that taking up arms and killing others is wrong.
In physics there is a theory that parallel universes exist in a different dimension of time and space. But you are confusing the concepts, a parallel universe by nature of being of a different linear time line is not linked to our own, and therefore the time/space differential has no frame of reference with our own. So when you are experiencing deja vu it is not that you are travelling into a parallel universe as much as your spirit is tugging on your mental/conscious in this lifetime to try and elicit awareness from you. This means it is trying to say "wake up" this is an important part of your life, this decision is important, something important is about to happen that can set your life off on a different strand of the cosmological webworks". The deja vu is actually part of your subconscious mind, the effect of your psychic abilities being in tune with your current surroundings and noticing the patterns that you are creating that will lead down a specific path. You see the webworks of Fate is like a spiderweb, and the strands different paths we can take, the crossroads on the strands decisions that can lead us to inner paths on the web, or outer paths. The closer we get towards the center of the spiderweb, the closer we are to making decisions towards enlightenment. The goal of course to achieve this by making the right decisions at crossroads that lead us through the labyrinth towards the central void of personal evolution.
Now of course some scientists theorize that time does not exist in true space, that we only assign time based on our limited perception. Therefore, if time doesn't exist our past lives are simultaneously our present and future lives as well, however, they are all ocurring in different dimensions at the same time. Which is what FAte is alluding to. My problem with this theory is that if this was the case there would be no way to predict the future because there would be no potential path (singular) and fate wouldn't look like a spiderweb, it would look like a three dimensional asterisk and all potentials, all probabalities would exist simultaneously. That would be a very complex way to create time/space, and Nature loves simplicity- but hey it's all good.
namaste,
JB

Welcome to Cauldron Living! "Historical storyteller", does that mean you do the in-costume historical re-enacting at places? I've always enjoyed that sort of interpretation, it's a great way to...
