Default I painted my dining room

Merry Meet - I painted my dining room. テつ*Started last night and finished this morning. テつ*My husband is laughing because I painted it a spicy pumpkin color, the technical name is "Harvest Moon". テつ*

When we built the house was painted a very pale gray almost white throughout and it's been 6 years, I couldn't stand it anymore and so I just decided to do it.

I love it, it's going to look beautiful once I get my furniture back in there. テつ*We have a Hitchcock dining room set with the fall leaves and pumpkins painted on it. テつ*We have lots of company at Samhain, annual bonfire, and at Thanksgiving so it will go with all that decor - the rest of the year I tend to go toward a country look so it will match that too.

My husband is very worried LOL - he's wondering what room I'm going to attack next.

I hate plain walls too!I did paint my outside door green says it a forest green but it looks emerald I guess because of the white behind it. And my boyfriend never knows what to expect! [lol]

Our spare bedroom upstairs I'm starting to decorate in horses. I've been collecting things for awhile. It started because I put our show ribbons on a bulletin board and needed somewhere to keep it. Then my mare Madison had to be euthanized, she was a beautiful coal black, not a speck of white on her and I had some beautiful pictures of her, so I got a frame that had room for several pictures, so I put that together along with a beautiful poem. Then I framed some pictures of my competition horse, and our baby mare (I started those as newborn all the way thru now, she is 4, it's fun to see how she's grown and changed) and our new gray arabian gelding,he just turned 1 in June.

My friend brought me back a neat horse jewelry box when she went to Russia. and I bought a Montana lamp. So that room is slowly coming together.

Then I found some really really expensive wall paper, I'm going to have to save up quite awhile for that. But it has all kinds of riders including dressage riders which you almost never see, so I really want that particular paper.

I also made tab curtains out of some cool horse material. In time I will find nice comforter set for that room too.

I'm sure he's scared I'll start in on our bedroom LOL. That's his sanctuary.
