Merry Meet, are there any knitting witches out there?

I've found a beautiful sweater pattern. It is in a solid color but has square knitted blocks here and there on it with designs in the middle of the blocks that are made using different stitches. The designs look like leaves, and balls etc.

I was wondering if anyone knew how to use different stitches to form the designs for Air, Water, Fire and Spirit.

I thought I could replace those signs in center of the blocks where the leaves and balls designs are.

This sweater is all one color like an irish knit would be but it's not cabled. Just plain with a little design here and there.

Crochet!!! I love crocheting. I have an afghan I have been working on for two years.

I know how to crochet too as long as it's not too complicated, I also love the cross stitch. Can't do too much during the spring, summer due to all the time I spend with our horses, but as soon as fall hits, I get anxious to start some projects and I get a lot done all winter. Blessed Be.
