Thread: Just want to share my art (books and jewellery)

Hi all

I thought I might give a little inspiration to all you creative folk.

I started some years ago making my own books. I desperately needed a unique and personal Book of Shadows, so I searched every bookstore but couldn't find any. So I decided to make my own

It was very simple. Two pieces of wood glued on a good bunch of paper and a strip of leather to keep it all together and cover the glue. I'm a carpenter so I carved my own design in the front page and that way made it my own

A friend of mine saw it one day and she begged me to make one for her as well. And I did and it kinda escaleted from there. I reasonly made a guestbook for another friend of mine who wanted the cover to symbolise his roots back in Scotland. And it came to look like this:

I have since played around with different kind of leather and different designs.




I also started on making jewellery almost the same way. My ex girlfriend lost a very precious necklace. So I thought it would be fun to surprise her with a "copy"
So I found a pic of her wearing the necklace and ordered some silver and tools and I made it. And I've loved making jewellery ever since
