    Been there, done that[wink]

Linn and I both have read the Anita Blake ~ 'I'm-such-a-confused-ho-now' series.

What do you think of them?

I began to read the series a few years ago when the 10th book had just come out in paperback (Narcissus in Chains). I will admit I got into the series on a whim, but I devoured the first ten books and eagerly awaited the next.

It is one of my favorite series. But I will also say as a forewarning that the series has turned into something of a controversy. If you do not like sex scenes in books (or cannot get over any negative feelings about sex in books), then do not begin the series. The sex is prevalent in the later books, and has made some readers stop reading.

I am not one of the readers who take derogatory attitude about the book (and NO, I am not referring to the people who've posted on here...I mean others I've met in person), but to each his own.

    Happy Reading!

MAR ~ it's not that I'm against the sex (trust me [wink]) - it just seems that Anita doesn't do anything else these days. She used to raise the dead, kill vamps, fight the bad guys, but now, the last couple of books seemed to have turned into a 'Dr. Phil' (Um'kay)/'Springer' (Girls Who Have To Have Sex Every Hour On The Hour - stayed tuned) show.

I like the fact that LKH has explored the characters deeper, but really, there is no need to have 3 chapters of sex, one chapter of story, rinse and repeat.

    Know what I mean?

LOL....yeah, I agree. I guess I am just more lenient on her (Anita and LKH). And I think that she is trying to veer in the direction of Anita gaining control of it so as to do it less (well, maybe that's wishful thinking) but who knows...
