I have watched "Coupling" , but I have not caught the other one. Cate has got me hooked on all things BBC.... I often go to the English News sites for a different slant on the US news. They report more on the Mexican Drug Wars that are going on just across our border than our news sources do. (did someone say "Cover up"??? )

    [rolleyes]

I have always appreciated British humor. Monty Python was a staple for me and my fellow Hippies way back when, 1980's?. Tongue in cheek humor is the best anyway. My husband on the other hand doesn't get it most of the time. He keeps asking me, "What did they say?" Â*Most of my BBC viewing is after he has gone to bed or work. "Absolutely Fabulous" is in American syndication but it is still pure Brit. I love those girls!!
( Yes Cate, we are your brood, if you still claim us. Â* Â* [lol])

i love Monty Python ,no bout a doubt it...thats on fri nights..
I just like thier humor or humour as they say. heck I love absolutely fabulous as well.
I grew up and remember life before cable and PBS always played dr who and monty python and lets not forget benny hill.
    I understand them just fine.
I find thier humour dry and rather randy kinda pervy if you will,so i can relate.

I know this is late posting, but I am a big BBC fan. Of course Dr Who, coupling,
Ab Fab, The Vicar of Dibley. Did anyone see the British version of Life on Mars. They made an American version of it and it was not to good. Right now I am into a new British show called Demons and it is great..my husband is from North Wales..so he downloads a lot of British shows for me. I also like to read and watch British newscasts..better than american ones..
oh and you must watch Derren Brown. He is awesome..just a few of my Brit favs..

    RMR!

Life on Mars - Phenomenal programme!! Did you see Ashes to Ashes the 80's follow up?

Demons is looking promising too.... I've only watched a couple so far

& Derren Brown, while I think he is over-opinionated & I disagree with the majority of what he says, I still watch him, slack-jawed, amazed at what he does
