Good for the soul?

I stated "A little organized chaos is good for the soul", how could this be so?
We, in civilized society, lead very ordered lives. We get up, go to work, come home, go to bed pretty routinely. We have RULES to follow, we care what the neighbors think (Oh yes you do) and then there's the images we project to the world. If you were to figure out the cost of all this order you would be surprised at the effort civilization costs you. Not that civilization is a bad thing, the benefits (think indoor plumbing) are well worth the effort with 6.5 billion humans on the planet. However the cost to our souls by suppressing basic emotions in favor of highly ritualized responses is contrary to our inner desires. How many times can you turn the other cheek when what you really want to do is hit back. The ritualized forms of response required by civilization are just not as satisfying.
Therefor, what each of us need is a way to get rid of most of our "civilized" manners to get back to the basic of rules for human interaction, going to a place when the "RULES" are reduced as much as possible and still maintain some sort of order. If you have ever been to a Mardi Gras or the Surgis Motorcycle Rally you understand they are good venues to shed a layer or two of civilization, in a civilized manner of course. Any time you won't get judged for not following the "RULES" is good for the soul. You don't have to nor would I recommend punching someone for minor offenses but be aware they can and often do respond in kind. Boxing their motorcycle is much more fun.
