Organizing Chaos and Pushing on a Rope

I received one of those "exclusive pre-approved' credit card offers in the mail today. I found it
interesting the offer was sent presorted bulk mail! How exclusive ist that? When enough offers
to qualify for bulk postage rates, let alone justify presorting, are sent out.

I got to thinking about exclusivity. I was once offered a membership in an "exclusive"
organization, I was just the type of person they wanted to have in their membership.
That is until I had the audacity to ask who was the wrong sort of person.You see for
something to be exclusive then something else has to be EXCLUDED. In the case
of this organization the qualifier was money, now I'd like to I was not any different
poor or rich. I've been both and while I prefer having money, I never minded being
poor and pretty much kept the same hours and company in both cases.That I
would still associate with the people who were not desirable seemed to upset
some of the embers of this organization and I became one of the EXCLUDED
rather than the EXCLUSIVE. Don't think I lost anything in the exchange.

The next time you get an "exclusive" offer just ask yourself who got excluded
and you might find yourself developing your own sense of exclusivity.
