Ethical Guidlines: "And ye harm none, do as ye will". Even "well intentioned" magic can be damaging, if you have intervened with some else's life before you have gotten the persons' permission. Everyone should know that doing harm to an innocent person or even what you feel may be a deserving person, will just end up in regret for you....Everything sent out, you will get back times three....Its not up to us, to pass judgement on who deserves revenge.
Certain Hazards-
Energy Imbalances: When performing magic and/or rituals, a person channels a great amount of energy through their body. What needs to be not forgotten is that the excess energy needs to be earthed "returned to the earth" and if the energy is only drawn from your own body you will be left depleted and weak.
Corruption: Temptation can envelope a person when they have power and the want to use it for revenge or greed can manifest. Becoming an advanced learner of the arts and mental maturity will help you become stronger in ignoring corruption.
Interference from other Entities: When performing magic, the energy used tends to get the attention and manifestation of other wordly entities. When I was younger I noticed that the more I performed magic, the more I noticed that other wordly things seemed to be around and tried to make sure I knew they were there. I didn't understand it then and had no idea why. The thing to remember is, not to let it scare you. Especially because the entities that you may attract, may be the type that feed off of fear. What you will need to do is perhaps a binding spell or protection spell but that is for another lesson.
Discrimination: Secrecy may need to be the only option for some, mostly a person just needs to use common sense when deciding to tell others what they do.
